Your classified ad will appear in 79 community newspapers covering most every corner of Alberta and into the Northwest Territories. These ads reach more than 80 per cent of Alberta’s non-metro households—and more than 95 per cent of all adults living in those households read their weekly community newspaper.

Ordering
Classified ads are words only, and placed under categories in classified sections of community newspapers across Alberta and the NWT.
Blanket Classifieds in Alberta and the NWT are $269 for 25 words. Additional words for either category are $8 each. Run your blanket classified ad 10 times in the same province within 6 months, and your 11th ad is FREE.
In order to maintain the low cost of Blanket Classifieds, we cannot offer credit terms. Payment with order is required.

Deadlines
The deadline for Alberta and NWT Blanket Classifieds is Tuesday 3 pm for the following week.
Our papers publish throughout the week, with some Monday, some Tuesday, and so on, but the majority of our newspapers publish Tuesday and Wednesday. The blanket classifieds run for the week starting Monday.

Counting Words
While blanket classifieds are priced by the word, there is no need to abbreviate as a word counts no matter how long it is. So, take your time to come up with the perfect words for your service or product, without worrying about the little things.
These count as one word:
- Class 1
- phone number: 1-800-282-6902
- email or website
- postal code
- and/or
- $500/month
- CPR
These count as two words:
- Toll free
- phone number with ext.: ie. 1-800-282-6903 ext. 228
- an address: ie. 10345 – 107 Ave. or 3228 Parsons Road
The first one or two words are in CAPS and there is no charge for punctuation. However, we cannot offer bolding, underlining, or logos. If those are things your ad requires, our Value Ad program is what you need.
Because we must be consistent with newspapers’ headings we keep the categories very general. Our newspapers also retain the right to reject any advertisement which does not meet with their advertising standards.
Additional Information
We do periodical checks on member newspapers to ensure proper placement. They have an obligation to run the blanket classified ads, and failure to do so could jeopardize their membership. However, as a result of maintaining the low price, we cannot offer tearsheets.
